Breast Augmentation - Vancouver Washington
Information on breast augmentation in Vancouver Washington. Info on breast implants, recovery, incision site, clevage, and more.
Here at the Breast Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, breast enlargement is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures. The surgery helps to build self-esteem and self-confidence.
The procedure is done by insertion of a breast implant, usually behind the chest wall muscle to make the breast fuller all over, including cleavage area,
outside of the breast and the flattened area above the nipple, and give the breast a more attractive and youthful contour. Although the primary purpose of
the surgery is to enlarge the size of the breasts and improve the shape, it can also provide a minor degree of lift in certain patients who do not want a
breast lift. The surgery can be done under either local anesthetic with IV sedation (also called twilight sleep) or under general anesthetic.
Dr. Brar prefers twilight sleep anesthesia if possible. This is because patients are less likely to get sick, patients can be asked to sit
upright during surgery to make the two breasts as even as possible, and he can communicate with patients if necessary. In cases where we do use general anesthesia,
board-certified anesthesiologists from Southwest Washington Medical Center administer anesthesia. (Please see
columbiaanesthesia.com for additional
information about general anesthesia.) Patients usually leave within three hours of arrival at our facility.
Breast augmentation can be done by itself or in combination with a breast lift procedure in patients who have major sagging. Either way, the surgery is
an outpatient procedure.
